What we keep when you book or ask for a quote, why we keep it, and how to see, change or delete it.

Last updated October 1, 2026

1. What we collect

When you book or ask for a quote:

  • Your name, mobile number and email.
  • Your vehicle, tire size or tire details, the service you want, the days and times that suit you, and any note you add.
  • Photos, only if you choose to add them (for example of your wheels or dashboard lights).
  • Your booking number, and the emails we send you about your booking.
  • Whether you said yes to seasonal reminders, and when.
  • How you found the site for that visit (for example from Google or Instagram) and the page you sent your request from. This is only sent along with a request.

We don't take card numbers on this website. Card payments go through a secure payment link from our payment provider, and e-transfers go through your own bank.

2. How we use it

  • To quote, book, confirm and remind you about your appointment (a reminder the day before).
  • To answer your questions and keep a record of the work for our books.
  • After your appointment, one email asking how we did, with a link to leave a Google review. We send it once per booking, and no more than once a year.
  • Seasonal reminders (“Time for winter tires”), only if you said yes. Every reminder has an unsubscribe link, and you can stop them at any time.

We never sell your information or use it for advertising.

3. Who helps us

A few companies handle information for us, only to provide their service:

  • Cloudflare runs this website, stores booking records and sends some of our emails.
  • Google provides our email (Gmail) and our appointment calendar.
  • Our payment provider handles card payments made through a payment link.

Some of these companies may store information outside Canada, for example in the United States.

4. How long we keep it

  • Photos you add are deleted automatically after 180 days.
  • Booking records are kept as long as we need them for the shop's records and as the law requires (for example, tax records for six years).
  • You can ask us to delete your details sooner, unless the law says we have to keep them.

5. Cookies and your browser

  • Visiting our pages doesn't set any cookies, and we don't use advertising or tracking cookies.
  • While you're on the site, your browser keeps a few things for that visit only, and clears them when you close the tab: a booking form you haven't sent yet, whether you've seen the welcome animation, and how you arrived.
  • Our team uses a few cookies of its own: to stay signed in to the owners' admin, and to preview the site's summer or winter look.
  • Like most websites, ours sees your IP address. We use it only to stop abuse (for example, too many tries to look up a booking) and forget it within a day. Cloudflare, which runs the site, also processes basic visit information to keep it secure and fast.

6. Your choices

  • Ask to see the information we have about you, correct it, or delete it.
  • Stop seasonal reminders with the unsubscribe link in any reminder, or just tell us.

Email service@2for2tires.ca or call or text 519-242-TIRE (8473), and we'll answer within 30 days. If you're not happy with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
